This product is ok. It did what it was supposed to but it did it for a few months. After a while, I noticed that I had to increase the volume on whatever I was listening to. Turns out that the connection was bad. I had to fiddle around with the audio jack (on the extender, not the headphone) in order to get full sound. Very unfortunate and very annoying.

I use this retractable cable as an extension for my favorite pair of headphones that have a short cable. This is a good quality extension, but be careful not to stress the ends too much or you may wind up with an intermittent connection (as with any cable). This one is actually a replacement for a previous one that went intermittent after I inadvertently let the headphones fall and yank on the cable.

The thing literally exploded apart while I was extending it one morning. No unusual amount of force or anything. It just flew apart. The cable still works, but the mechanism is in pieces. I would fix it, but I can't even find where the other half of it shot off to.
